University Of Modern Sciences is committed to adopt a student- centred approach which allows merging of modern knowledge as well as human ethics. Out of this mission, UMS provides students with all possible resources and facilities that help them in their curricula as well as extracurricular activities including modern laboratories, study halls, libraries, well-eqUMSpped dormitories and sports halls.

Deanship of Student Services ( DSS) is accordingly keen on satisfying all students cultural, artistic, sports and social interests. It encourages voluntary activities that serve both the student and the surrounding community. Furthermore, DSS maintains entrepreneur opportunities and future career orientation through encouraging students’ participation in different activities and events. Students are triggered into participating to the Students Council which is primarily founded for addressing their needs and concerns and enhancing a successful communication between students and university administration that works for the best of our country.

Student counselling and support unit:

This unit aims at offering support and academic and social gUMSdance to students in order to help attain psychological and social stability. It is intended to assist students to overcome potential lively or academic obstacles that might be encountered by students. Those aims are achieved through various consultation services such as individual and group sessions, training courses, workshops, lectures, seminars and off-campus activities. The whole and sum of this unit’s goal is to provide “ high quality services especially in psychological well-being in an lifelong manner.”

The Student counselling and support unit is keen to present its services by highlighting concepts of respect and acceptance of the other, prioritizing students welfare, objectivity and professionalism.

Confidentiality of personal information is no compromise, as per law , to guarantee that given information and confessions would not affect student’s records and academic grades.

Sports and social activities unit:

This unit is charged with organizing following up on diverse cultural, social, artistic as well as sports activities and events. It aims at effecting the roles of clubs, activity groups, student council that all target extracurricular activities. The unit has a diverse package of events that guarantee the moulding of students characters and personalities from all aspects. Moreover, Those events represent a golden opportunity to discover new talents and potentials.



Services offered by this unit are provided in both languages: Arabic and English. The unit takes upon itself the organization of events, meetings, competitions with different contestants.
The sports unit organizes regular training sessions for students, faculty and admin members and their families that are supervised by professional trainers and coaches. use and management of facilities and eqUMSpments are fully maintained by the sports unit in an effective manner with the goal of achieving mental, psychological and physical well-being for all.
